Rowe Consolidation Permeability System

The Rowe Consolidation Permeability System is used to test the permeability of soil (hydraulic conductivity) which is vital in construction projects, especially for efficient drainage. It plays a crucial role in designing structures such as landfills, earth dams, and sheet-pile walls, and conducting feasibility studies for groundwater lowering.

VJ Tech manufactures Rowe cells for non-contaminated samples up to 252 mm in diameter. The Rowe cell, employed with 3 Automatic Pressure Controllers (APCs) for Cell, Back, and Drain Pressure, enables permeability testing. The Clisp Studio csPERM software makes test setup and control easy, displaying real-time tabular and graphical displays of measured and calculated parameters for subsequent analysis.

  • Sturdy, metal construction for elimination of distortion under pressure
  • 3 independent Hydraulic Automatic Pressure Controllers (APC) for Back, Cell and Drain Pressure and volume control and measurement
  • External datalogger not required; sensors to be logged via APC’s
  • Ethernet or USB Interface for computer control
  • Automatic Solenoid Valves (for automation of Back and Drain Valves – optional)
  • Pore Water Pressure transducer for Drain Pressure measurement
  • Fully automated consolidation test for the determination of the rate and magnitude of consolidation (software module is required)
  • Fully automated permeability test for the determination of the coefficient of permeability (software module and additional APC is required)
