Automatic Large Direct Shear System
The VJ Tech Large Shear Box Pro is designed to accommodate specimen sizes up to 300 mm x 300 mm on the 100kN Model, and 300 mm x 400 mm on the 250kN Model (with the possibility of reducing to 300mm x 300mm), making it ideal for testing a wider range of materials including large particle sizes, such as aggregates.
Geotextile membrane mounting points are present to allow the user to perform tests on Geotextile liners. A stepper motor is used in both axes to eliminate the need for oil pumps. Lower capacity load cells can be provided for improved accuracy.
With a built-in datalogger, the Large Shear Box Pro system can log up to 5 analogue sensor inputs and be connected to a PC for data acquisition and data processing via our Clisp Studio software.
