The Geotester has five different exchangeable inserts with diameters of 6.4mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 25mm.

The Geotester gives an estimated unconfined compressive strength of up to 6 kg/cm2 x 100g/cm2 divisions when used with the standard 1/4″” diameter plunger. The outer scale when used with the other 4 supplied diameter plungers gives shear strength over the range 0-11kg x 100g divisions dependent on plunger size and soil type. Unit supplied with five interchangeable plungers in a carry case w/data tables.
